I would like to spend my remaining days in Brooklyn, but I am not sure how to make that happen. Perhaps the blogging community can help me to get the ball rolling with some ideas or even some generous donations.

Sylow, I previously expected to live forever, so the answer to your question is 'yes'.

First, you need a Paypal thing on your site.
Second, you need to start writing something that makes people think to themselves that you should be getting paid for what you're writing.
For examples of both see: dooce.com.
The people at Paypal turned down my request for one of those things. They said that the fact that I was dying made me too much of a liability.
